Building a Conversion-Focused Website: The Dental Practice Demo

A full breakdown of how we build a conversion-focused website, using the dental practice demo we built as the worked example. Every decision, in order — and a live site you can inspect.

The challenge

Most dental practice websites have the same problem: they look acceptable and do almost nothing. The hero is a stock photo of a smiling family. The primary action — book an appointment — is buried in a menu. The phone number isn't visible while scrolling. New patients on a phone, deciding between three practices, can't tell in three seconds what makes this one worth a call.

We built the dental practice demo to show the opposite: a website engineered, decision by decision, around the single action that produces revenue for a dental practice — a booked new-patient appointment. It is a demonstration build, not a paid engagement, which means we can show you the entire reasoning and you can inspect the finished result yourself.

How the build was approached

01

Define the one revenue action

Before any design, we name the single action the site exists to produce. For a dental practice that is a booked new-patient appointment. Every page, section, and button is then evaluated against one question: does this make that action more likely, or is it decoration? Anything that fails the test is cut.

02

Engineer the above-the-fold moment

A new patient decides in seconds. The demo's hero states plainly who it serves and what to do next, with the booking action and a visible phone number present immediately — no scrolling, no menu hunt. Trust signals appear in the first scroll rather than three screens down.

03

Build for the mobile majority

Most dental searches happen on a phone, so the demo was designed mobile-first: large tap targets, a persistent call button, fast first paint, and no layout shift. The desktop layout is derived from the mobile one, not the other way around.

04

Tune for Core Web Vitals

Speed is both a ranking factor and a conversion factor. The demo is built to hit strong Core Web Vitals on a mid-range phone — optimized images, deferred non-critical scripts, server-rendered content — because a fast site ranks better and converts measurably more visitors.

05

Wire structure for search and AI

LocalBusiness, Service, and FAQPage schema, clean heading hierarchy, and server-rendered copy are built in from the start — so the site is legible to Google and quotable by AI search tools, not just attractive to humans.

Before & after

A qualitative comparison of the approach — what the typical starting point looks like versus the finished build.

Primary action
Typical beforeBooking buried in the navigation menu
In the buildBooking action visible above the fold on every screen
Mobile experience
Typical beforeDesktop layout shrunk down, small tap targets
In the buildMobile-first build with a persistent call button
Message clarity
Typical beforeGeneric 'welcome to our practice' hero
In the buildPlain statement of who it serves and the next step
Machine readability
Typical beforeNo structured data; content assembled client-side
In the buildFull schema markup; server-rendered, crawlable content

What the build demonstrates

A site engineered around one action

The finished demo demonstrates the core principle: a website is not a brochure, it is a conversion instrument. Every element earns its place by making a booked appointment more likely.

Fast, structured, and crawlable

The build is tuned for Core Web Vitals and marked up with complete schema — the same foundation that lets a site rank on Google and be cited in AI search answers.

A live example you can inspect

Because this is a demonstration build, the result is public. You can open the demo on your own phone and judge the conversion engineering directly — no claims required.

Case study · FAQ

Questions about this build.

Is this a real client project?

It is a real build, but a demonstration site — not a paid client engagement. We built it to show our website methodology on a live, inspectable example. We deliberately make no revenue or ranking claims about it.

How long does a build like this take?

A conversion-focused website on this pattern typically launches in two to four weeks for a Growth or Pro engagement, and one to two weeks for a Starter build. Timelines depend on how quickly content and approvals come back.

Can I see the finished demo?

Yes — it is live and public. Open it on a phone to judge the mobile experience, speed, and conversion structure for yourself.

Want a build like this for your business?

Thirty minutes. We audit your current site, show you the specific gaps, and map the build that closes them.

No contract. No pressure. A real audit and a real quote.
